Too Full To Craft!

Mmm, I'm feeling very well-fed tonight thanks to this yumminess...

Himself and I paid a visit to the Handmade Burger Co and I was pleased to see they had a reasonably varied selection of veggie burgers.  Even though my bun looks as if it only has a lettuce leaf in it, it does actually contain a Sweet Potato and Bean Burger! And it was very tasty indeed although I may never be able to move again!

I was quite pleased yesterday to see that Folksy put my Lighthouses Pinterest board on their front page. I like the idea that their front page will always feature items chosen by Folksy sellers themselves, it's a great way to discover new creative talent!

Unfortunately my mojo is still playing away at the moment so I'm not sure I'll get anything made tonight.  That said, a couple of new cards have made their way off my craft desk in the last couple of days:

What will YOU be up to this weekend? Hope you have a good one!

Motivation or Not

Some days I feel very productive and can get into the creative flow.  Friday was like this and the result was:

and Keyrings.

And other days I hardly make anything at all because I don't feel motivated (today is one of those days).  Whenever I feel anxious about having a day like that I tell myself I'll sit down and try to create for five minutes then stop.  Normally I start to doodle and if I'm lucky I'll get into "flow", more than five minutes will pass and I'll get a small project finished.

The result of which today is this card:

It may not be much but it's one card I didn't have yesterday!

If I'm ever lacking in motivation there's always some words of wisdom to be found on sites like this that I find helpful.

Have a productive day everyone!

Rain Rain Go Away...!!

I went swimming yesterday and it was fab - there was only one other person and me in the pool!  I've never known it so quiet, perhaps the rain was keeping everyone away? Perhaps there was so much rain that people were able to go swimming at the bottom of their gardens without even having to come to the pool??!  Whatever the reason, I enjoyed myself although I'm a bit out of condition and swallowed half the water in the process - bleurgh!

In an attempt to brighten things up craft-wise, I've revamped my birds and cupcakes so that making them involves using up even MORE tiny scraps!

The problem is that now I'm left with scraps smaller then an atom - I refuse to throw them away though - I still need to use them up somehow!! :)

It's probably a bit too long after the event to say this but I hope all dads out there had a lovely Father's Day.  Mine possibly didn't as he was having car troubles at the time, but I think he was pleased with the card I made for him which was in homage to the fact that he's a great photographer!

He's been a constant source of help and encouragement in my crafting shenanigans from day one so I really I hope I can do the same for him if he needs it.

Thanks Dad! :)

Cleanest Hands Ever!

Well, I'm nicely back into the swing of cardmaking now and our holiday is but a distant memory!  Because Himself and I had spending money left over we allowed ourselves a couple of extra treats - I had a lovely back, neck and shoulder massage before we came home and in the airport duty free I picked up this box of Body Shop hand gels!

I'm never without a bottle of hand-cleaning gel in my bag (in fact I'm a almost a bit OCDish about having clean hands now!) so this is the ultimate treat for me! They all smell delish and will keep me going for YEARS!!

One of the first cards I've made since coming home is one for the lovely couple who's holiday apartment we stayed in:

And I've been preparing various cards for my shop, including revamped designs like these:

and some new designs like this soon-to-be apt tennis one!

It's great to have my mojo back (it took a couple of days!) and I look forward to creating even more cuteness very soon!

Back and Ready To Craft!

Hello all, I'm back from my little Spanish soiree and ready for some crafting action!

We-ell...maybe tomorrow, as I have a pile of catching up to do first!

Lots of blogs to read, photos to organise, a diet to shop for (those extra holiday pounds need to be shifted!!), tons of episodes of Eastenders to watch...the list is endless!! :)

But I have reopened my Folksy shop and have listed this cute Little Doggies notebook:

I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of all things crafty, but it might take me a day or two so bear with!

Meantime here are a couple of shots of the little details that made the holiday so fab!

Right, I'm off to look at everyone's blogs now and find out what you've all been up to!
